stepped up on recent run to win this race for the third year in a row, proving better than ever; mid-field, headway 2f out, led 1f out, kept on; he's twice performed creditably on Finals Day and will no doubt work towards that again following this excellent training performance.

A useful staying handicap that Duke Of Oxford has made his own the last 3 years, bringing up the hat-trick in clearcut fashion from a couple that are of interest from current marks; the pace was on the modest side.

DUKE OF OXFORD stepped up on recent run to win this race for the third year in a row, proving better than ever; mid-field, headway 2f out, led 1f out, kept on; he's twice performed creditably on Finals Day and will no doubt work towards that again following this excellent training performance.

ANOTHER RUN (IRE) encouragingly backed up recent win to prove himself up to 2m and is up to winning more races this winter if able to stand his racing; held up, headway under pressure over 1f out, kept on.

SAX APPEAL ran well upped in grade and has a good all-weather record that should mean he remains competitive; prominent, ridden 2f out, not quicken final 1f.

ENEMY backed up recent run and is down to a mark that he's well capable of capitalising on, but his style demands some luck; dwelt, in rear, headway when not clear run over 1f out, switched final 1f, kept on.

ZORAN ran a solid race with the run of things but is vulnerable to better-treated rivals; led, headed over 1f out, no extra late on.

ARTISAN DANCER (FR) backed up previous effort while looking unlucky not to finish closer; mid-field, travelled fluently, not clear run over 2f out, shuffled back, ridden 1f out, kept on; should remain competitive.

MASTER MILLINER (IRE) is back down to last winning mark but wasn't strong in the finish in first-time visor; tracked pace, ridden 2f out, weakened final 1f.

FRANCESCO BARACCA was too free back up in trip in a much better race than he need contest; held up, raced freely, beaten over 1f out.

SHERADANN (FR) had the run of things last time and couldn't confirm the form over a couple of these; close up, ridden 2f out, weakening when short of room last ½f.
