hadn't run quite up to the level of his Wokingham third in the Bunbury Cup 12 weeks previously but bounced back to form returned to 6f on all-weather (unbeaten on synthetics in 3 starts), not doing a lot in front and winning a shade more comfortably than the bare margin suggests with Billy Loughnane in the saddle for the first time; prominent, led over 1f out, kept on; a scopey sort who's still relatively low mileage, it's not inconceivable there could be even more to come from him as a 5-y-o.

was eased in grade and ran up to his best without ever looking like reeling in the winner, his losing run now stretching back to May 2024; in touch, ridden over 1f out, kept on final 1f.

well held in a deep-ground seller over further last time, ran much better returned to a sprint trip/all-weather, albeit still some way below his Wolverhampton effort in July which continues to look a bit flattering (ridden by 7-lb claimer that day); in touch, ridden 2f out, stayed on until no extra late on.

was relatively strong in the betting but had a bit to find at the weights and wasn't up to it having had the run of things in front; led, headed over 1f out, weakened final 1f.

offered a gllimer more than recently having his first try at 6f, but he's a risky proposition at the best of times and is no more interesting for it; typically very slowly away, in rear, tacked on to end of pack over 3f out, brief headway over 1f out, effort flattened out.

Not the deepest conditons event, one who's been running creditably in high-end handicaps of late getting the better of one who was eased a little in grade, a couple of other in-form handicappers not really giving their best further back.

TEN POUNDS (IRE) hadn't run quite up to the level of his Wokingham third in the Bunbury Cup 12 weeks previously but bounced back to form returned to 6f on all-weather (unbeaten on synthetics in 3 starts), not doing a lot in front and winning a shade more comfortably than the bare margin suggests with Billy Loughnane in the saddle for the first time; prominent, led over 1f out, kept on; a scopey sort who's still relatively low mileage, it's not inconceivable there could be even more to come from him as a 5-y-o.

DIVINE LIBRA (IRE) was eased in grade and ran up to his best without ever looking like reeling in the winner, his losing run now stretching back to May 2024; in touch, ridden over 1f out, kept on final 1f.

AL SHABAB STORM well held in a deep-ground seller over further last time, ran much better returned to a sprint trip/all-weather, albeit still some way below his Wolverhampton effort in July which continues to look a bit flattering (ridden by 7-lb claimer that day); in touch, ridden 2f out, stayed on until no extra late on.

MARCHOGION was relatively strong in the betting but had a bit to find at the weights and wasn't up to it having had the run of things in front; led, headed over 1f out, weakened final 1f.

FAIR WIND offered a gllimer more than recently having his first try at 6f, but he's a risky proposition at the best of times and is no more interesting for it; typically very slowly away, in rear, tacked on to end of pack over 3f out, brief headway over 1f out, effort flattened out.

DRAMA has a good record at this track but couldn't translate his useful handicap form into this company; raced off the pace, ridden over 2f out, soon beaten.
