belied market weakness, proving a different proposition on handicap debut and value for a bit extra on top of the bare margin, having come from further back than the placed pair; dwelt, mid-field, went with zest, shaken up over 2f out, switched under 2f out, quickened to lead final 100 yds, edged right but won readily; already looks well bought on the back of this and may have more to offer.

continues in good heart, sensibly kept closer to the pace than last time and having every chance; chased leader, shaken up around 2f out, edged ahead approaching final 1f, headed final 100 yds.

again ran well and is clearly on a handy mark, but could do with learning to settle better; close up, took strong hold, pushed along 2f out, challenged soon after, no extra final 100 yds; he might be worth a try in a hood, whilst a drop back to 7f is another viable option.

claimer ridden for the first time, shaped well after 9 weeks off; raced off the pace, shaken up 2f out, still plenty to do over 1f out, finished well, never nearer, caught further back than ideal; will remain of considerable interest on all-weather.

after just 7 days off, found run of good form coming to a halt, back up in trip but perhaps still in need of a stronger gallop; mid-division, shaken up early in straight, switched 2f out, not quicken.

A useful handicap that went to an unexposed sort, Zoffandia doing well to quicken past a couple of better-placed rivals who arrived in good nick, whilst the fourth also deserves some extra credit given how this developed, the gallop only really picking up from 3f out.

ZOFFANDIA (IRE) belied market weakness, proving a different proposition on handicap debut and value for a bit extra on top of the bare margin, having come from further back than the placed pair; dwelt, mid-field, went with zest, shaken up over 2f out, switched under 2f out, quickened to lead final 100 yds, edged right but won readily; already looks well bought on the back of this and may have more to offer.

RHYTHM N ROCK (IRE) again finished well held; always behind.
