secured this pretty valuable prize for the second year in a row, knuckling down well to come from the back and he's going to remain of interest in all-weather staying events having performed with credit on Finals Day and in the Northumberland Plate earlier this year; held up, travelled fluently, headway when got gap over 1f out, stayed on to lead well inside final 1f.

A useful series finale and Zoran made a bold bid from the front ensuring this was a fair test for all involved, the 3 others that came from off the pace to also make the frame giving this a positive look, the winner following up his win in this race last year.

DUKE OF OXFORD secured this pretty valuable prize for the second year in a row, knuckling down well to come from the back and he's going to remain of interest in all-weather staying events having performed with credit on Finals Day and in the Northumberland Plate earlier this year; held up, travelled fluently, headway when got gap over 1f out, stayed on to lead well inside final 1f.

SHERADANN (FR) backed up previous effort and should be winning for this yard before too long, again bumping into a really useful all-weather stayer here; mid-field, headway under pressure over 1f out, challenged final 1f, kept on; will remain of interest.

ZORAN had won over hurdles recently and got back on track in this sphere returned to all-weather; led, went clear before 3f out, headed well inside final 1f, no extra.

FRANCESCO BARACCA back in headgear, ran well in a much better race than he need contest (9 lb out of the handicap); held up, not clear run 2f out, headway under pressure final 1f, kept on; should remain competitive.

ZEALANDIA (FR) in first-time visor, is merely ticking over at present; mid-field, outpaced home turn, short of room 2f out, no extra last ½f.

RED FLYER (IRE) back in headgear, didn't make much impact in a better race than he need contest; mid-field, ridden out wide over 2f out, hung right, made little impression.

BEAMISH (FR) is struggling for form at present; in touch, weakened over 1f out.

DAMASCUS STEEL (IRE) didn't stay the trip in a truly-run race in this grade; mid-field, headway on inner 2f out, weakened final 1f; should prove suited by a return to middle distances.

SIMIYANN (IRE) in a change of headgear, ran poorly back up in grade; prominent, off the bridle before most, weakened 2f out.
