might have been a slow-burner at the start of his handicap career but is improving and improving fast now, immediately setting the record straight after seeing his winning sequence ended at Southwell with a fairly remarkable performance by handicap standards considering he was pulling hard for so much of it with the pace on the steady side, finally allowed to stride on over 2f out and yet finding plenty to see off the remaining threat; he's got even more to reveal and would be worth noting for something better this autumn.

a winner over hurdles (for Fergal O'Brien) since last seen on the Flat with Jim Bolger, needed nearly every yard of the longer trip than before to finish placed back on the level after 5 months off, this presumably a pipe-opener for jumping above all; in touch, not quicken 2f out, rallied gradually.
