who had been gelded during his 6-month absence, was well backed and progressed again to complete the hat-trick on handicap debut, very much confirming himself a smart prospect, coping notably well with the emphasis on speed for one who had looked a strong stayer at 2 yrs; in touch, smooth headway early in straight, shaken up 2f out, asserted quickly, kept on, comfortably; he'll prove suited by at least 1½m and will go improving, well worth his place in something like the Chester Vase or Cocked Hat Stakes in the near future.

up 2f in trip, was never out of last place, though probably not 100% on the day given how far out his jockey started to take things easy; in rear, pushed along over 4f out, eased heavily 2f out.

Another taking display from the upwardly-mobile Going The Distance, essentially able to outclass these rivals and showing plenty to like in doing so.

GOING THE DISTANCE (IRE) who had been gelded during his 6-month absence, was well backed and progressed again to complete the hat-trick on handicap debut, very much confirming himself a smart prospect, coping notably well with the emphasis on speed for one who had looked a strong stayer at 2 yrs; in touch, smooth headway early in straight, shaken up 2f out, asserted quickly, kept on, comfortably; he'll prove suited by at least 1½m and will go improving, well worth his place in something like the Chester Vase or Cocked Hat Stakes in the near future.

TRUE WISDOM (IRE) proved very easy to back after 6 months off but showed improved form upped 2f in trip for handicap debut; mid-division, ridden early in straight, kept on.

BILLIEGEE (IRE) ran to a similar level to last time, the 2f longer trip somewhat negated by a steady gallop; tracked pace, took strong hold, shaken up early in straight, kept on; remains with potential.

CLOUD FREE (IRE) confirmed the improvement shown here the previous month, though not quite seeing out the 3f longer trip as well as others; patiently ridden, ridden over 2f out, kept on until last ½f.

TORRENT ran one of better races, though very much benefited from the run of the race; dictated, ridden approaching 2f out, headed soon after, weakened gradually.

DR FOSTER up 2f in trip, was never out of last place, though probably not 100% on the day given how far out his jockey started to take things easy; in rear, pushed along over 4f out, eased heavily 2f out.
