looked potentially useful in defying a penalty over 1f longer trip, knuckling down to edge out a thriving rival that had the run of things, clearly well ahead of this mark; in touch, travelled fluently, pushed along over 1f out, challenged final 1f, stayed on to lead close home; in excellent hands and will go on improving.

without the headgear this time, improved further back on all-weather, having the run of things over 1f longer trip but even so the manner in which he drew clear with useful prospect was encouraging, only giving way late on; dictated, quickened 2f out, ridden 1f out, headed only late on, pulled clear of remainder; will continue to give a good account.

ran creditably making handicap debut over 1f longer trip after 4 months off, though was absolutely no match for better treated pair that were well positioned; in rear, pushed along over 2f out, plugged on.
