On paper this was a competitive and tightly-knit 3-y-o handicap, but it proved anything but with the improving Expert Agent soon sealing matters with a burst of acceleration, the time backing up the visual impression.

EXPERT AGENT whose previous 2 starts for the yard had worked out well, showed much improved form to get off the mark after 10 weeks off, displaying a fine turn of foot and seeing his race out thoroughly having been gelded in the interim, seeming suited by the switch to hold-up tactics, for all that he was forced into them after a tardy start; dwelt, in rear, shaken up 2f out, rapid headway over 1f out, led soon after, kept going well under just hand riding; he'll be hard to beat if turned out again quickly under a penalty.

MOGOK VALLEY (IRE) well backed, was unlucky to bump into one returned to a longer trip on handicap debut, still a shade rough around the edges and likely to stay 7f; in touch, ridden when forced to switch 2f out, keeping on when wandered entering final 1f, took second close home, no impression on winner.

EROSION RISK (IRE) confirmed return to form back in a handicap; led, driven 2f out, headed 1f out, edged right, one paced.

IGNAC LAMAR (IRE) ran creditably having attracted support after 3 months off, throwing down a brief challenge before finding the lack of a recent outing telling; slowly into stride, waited with, headway under pressure under 2f out, every chance 1f out, effort flattened out.

MOLLY VALENTINE (IRE) failed to improve making handicap debut; close up, effort under 2f out, one paced.

ACAI (IRE) who lacks scope, produced a laboured effort after 12 weeks off despite the fitting of cheekpieces (also gelded), more severe headgear probably worth applying; raced well off the pace, never travelling well, switched early in straight, carried head bit awkwardly, merely passed beaten horses.

HOBSON POINT strong in the betting returned to an easier grade/shorter trip, proved to be a disappointment, looking hesitant; held up, ridden under 3f out, brief headway under 2f out, no further impression, carried head bit awkwardly.

CORINTHIAN KID (IRE) ran poorly; prominent, raced freely, driven early in straight, weakening when edged left over 1f out.

GALAXY GAZER making handicap debut, was friendless in the betting and ran too freely, possible that she's not the most straightforward; raced wide, handy, refused to settle, ridden 2f out, weakening when met some trouble over 1f out.
