was on the same mark as last time and went one better than last time without having to improve, enjoying the run of the race to a greater extent than the runner-up, gaining first run; chased leaders, shaken up over 2f out, led over 1f out, just held on; he'll still be below the mark he started the season from next time and will remain of interest.

had a penalty to carry for last week's C&D win and though she had her winning run ended, clearly continues in good heart and was unlucky not to complete the hat-trick; patiently ridden, headway on inner over 2f out, ran on, just failed, conceded first run; she's a most likeable mare and is sure to remain of interest in similar company this winter.

has been gradually progressive all year, yet to finish out of the first 3 and ran at least as well in defeat as when winning over C&D the time before, just finding the combination of a higher mark/better race too much to overcome; mid-field, smooth headway early in straight, ridden over 1f out, ran on.

again ran creditably judged on the balance of his form this year; chased leader, pushed along early in straight, one paced; he'll be better off having his sights lowered, a 0-85 likely to come his way before too long.

ran well enough considering his career-high mark (Yarmouth win had also come under promising 7-lb claimer), but just left the impression he might tighten up for a first outing in 5 weeks, not able to sustain a promising forward move; mid-field, pushed along over 2f out, chased leaders over 1f out, weakened final 100 yds.

A useful handicap run at a sound pace and it was the pair that dominated the finish over C&D last week that fought it out once more, the turnaround at the weights and run of the race enough to see Apollo One reverse the placing this time, but Aramis Grey emerges with her reputation enhanced further, shaping best given the amount of ground she made up in the straight.

APOLLO ONE was on the same mark as last time and went one better than last time without having to improve, enjoying the run of the race to a greater extent than the runner-up, gaining first run; chased leaders, shaken up over 2f out, led over 1f out, just held on; he'll still be below the mark he started the season from next time and will remain of interest.

FIRST FOLIO ran well enough considering his career-high mark (Yarmouth win had also come under promising 7-lb claimer), but just left the impression he might tighten up for a first outing in 5 weeks, not able to sustain a promising forward move; mid-field, pushed along over 2f out, chased leaders over 1f out, weakened final 100 yds.

INTERVENTION ran as well as could be expected in a stronger race than he usually contests, ensuring a good pace for his stablemate to run at; dwelt, soon led, ridden over 2f out, headed over 1f out, weakened late on.
