produced a big career best returned to 1m and back on all-weather for the first time this year, an in-form filly if you ignore her last run but this still a big surprise nonetheless and an effort she won't find easy to reproduce, though that's unlikely to bother connections who now have a more valuable breeding prospect on their hands; waited with, good headway over 1f out, quickened to lead approaching last ½f, won readily.

easy to back, wasn't disgraced in another listed race, seeming to stay 1m on the face of it but the trip forcing his jockey into holding him right up and he's probably more effective over slightly shorter where he can be ridden more forward; patiently ridden, not settle fully, headway out wide 1f out, ran on, nearest at the finish.

All 10 ran.

Winning Owner: Mrs R. F. Johnson Houghton

Overrounds: Industry SP 115%, Betfair SP 102.2%

Not easy form of which to make sense, the winner seeming to excel herself, another filly in third also a big price and the form is probably best treated with some caution, most of the supposed big guns failing to give their running and not a great deal separating the bulk of the field at the line.

MADAME TANTZY produced a big career best returned to 1m and back on all-weather for the first time this year, an in-form filly if you ignore her last run but this still a big surprise nonetheless and an effort she won't find easy to reproduce, though that's unlikely to bother connections who now have a more valuable breeding prospect on their hands; waited with, good headway over 1f out, quickened to lead approaching last ½f, won readily.

MISTY GREY (IRE) easy to back, wasn't disgraced in another listed race, seeming to stay 1m on the face of it but the trip forcing his jockey into holding him right up and he's probably more effective over slightly shorter where he can be ridden more forward; patiently ridden, not settle fully, headway out wide 1f out, ran on, nearest at the finish.

CASPIAN QUEEN (IRE) ran right up to her best, rather from out of the blue as she arrived on the back of some lesser efforts, though she had won her only previous start here; mid-field, headway out wide 1f out, threatened briefly, kept on.

PISTOLETTO (USA) continues in good heart, running at least as well as when winning a handicap the time before; chased leader, challenged under 2f out, led briefly around 1f out, carried head bit awkwardly, kept on.

KENZAI WARRIOR (USA) didn't have the chance the market suggested (strong in the betting back on all-weather), but hardly had things go his way; awkward and hampered leaving stalls, held up, headway under 2f out, met some trouble entering final 1f, no further impression.

STORMY ANTARCTIC wasn't at his best back on all-weather; chased leaders, effort over 2f out, carried right over 1f out, not quicken.

LADY ROCKSTAR who attracted support, matched the form of her wide-margin Wolverhampton win without being able to improve further; led, took keen hold, tackled under 2f out, edged left, headed around 1f out, no extra late on.

CAP FRANCAIS easy to back, failed to come on for recent run making all-weather debut; chased leaders, ridden under 2f out, weakened inside final 1f.
