strong in the betting in a change of headgear, ran well, hard to fault his attitude this time, the winner simply possessing a superior turn of foot; chased leader, went on under 2f out, headed entering final 1f, rallied but always just held.

without the headgear this time, ran well, particularly considering the change of tactics weren't ideal for a stayer in a steadily-run race; steadied at the start, held up, headway under 2f out, threatened entering final 1f, hung left inside final 1f, kept on.

This looked a useful 3-y-o event but a rather sedate gallop counted against a few and the race perhaps isn't quite as strong as it might have been, though the winner did pretty well, producing the best turn of foot.

TRIBAL ART (IRE) got straight back on the up, looking suited by the return to all-weather for the first time since his debut, producing the best turn of foot in a steadily-run race; settled mid-field, had to wait for gap between leaders briefly before quickening to lead entering final 1f, wasn't doing a great deal in front but always holding on.

IRISH LEGEND (IRE) strong in the betting in a change of headgear, ran well, hard to fault his attitude this time, the winner simply possessing a superior turn of foot; chased leader, went on under 2f out, headed entering final 1f, rallied but always just held.

PIED PIPER without the headgear this time, ran well, particularly considering the change of tactics weren't ideal for a stayer in a steadily-run race; steadied at the start, held up, headway under 2f out, threatened entering final 1f, hung left inside final 1f, kept on.

MARCHING ARMY returned to form in first-time cheekpieces without looking in any way ahead of his mark; held up, pushed along over 3f out, outpaced briefly, stayed on final 1f, not unduly punished.

KING OF TSAVO ran creditably in first-time blinkers but he hasn't progressed from his reappearance; led, took keen hold, headed under 2f out, no extra final 1f.

ZIKANY is better judged on previous form; hampered start, in rear, effort over 2f out, never landed a blow and eased off after short of room inside final 1f; he needs the emphasis more on stamina.

CHORITZO in first-time cheekpieces, again ran poorly and seems to have lost his way; in touch, ridden under 3f out, dropped away quickly 2f out.
