claimer ridden, wasn't seen to best effect last time and got back on the up as he resumed winning ways, proving determined in catching the runner-up; raced off the pace, took keen hold, edged right but headway under pressure approaching final 1f, stayed on to lead line; he boasts a decent strike rate and should continue to run well.

turned out under a penalty after just 4 days off, continues in top form, unable to land the hat-trick but better than ever in going down only narrowly; in touch, travelled well, good headway out wide entering straight, led under 2f out, edged right, kept on but collared line.

well backed, made an encouraging return from 5 months off, particularly as this test seemed unlikely to bring out the best in him; in touch, ridden under 2f out, headway when short of room approaching final 1f, kept on; he remains likely to be suited by 1½m and may yet have a bigger performance in the locker with that in mind.

easy to back, still seems to be finding his feet for this yard, though did go about his business in typical fashion; raced off the pace, raced freely, went prominent after 3f, ridden 2f out, hung right and no extra last ½f; he's still one to keep an eye on, particularly if dropped back into a 0-90.

who's shown some aptitude in 3 starts over hurdles for this yard, wasn't disgraced back in this sphere; tracked pace, ridden when hampered approaching final 1f, no further impression.

seemed likely to be suited by this test but was easy to back and disappointed, something perhaps not quite right on the day; tracked pace, ridden when short of room 2f out, weakened and then eased inside final 1f.
