An impressive display by the wide-margin winner, who blew the race apart after taking up the running early, nothing managing to get involved from off the pace.

LEGAL EYES (IRE) got back on track in no uncertain manner after 9 weeks off (had undergone another breathing operation in interim) and it's to be hoped this latest surgery proves a long-term fix as he looked a smart prospect here; jumped fluently, travelled strongly, led from fourth, drew clear straight, impressive.

KILFILUM CROSS (IRE) returned to form in first-time cheekpieces and was unlucky to bump into such an improved rival; disputed lead until fourth, remained prominent, jumped better than of late, left behind by winner from 2 out.

BOUGHTBEFORELUNCH (IRE) ran respectably; disputed lead until fourth, outpaced end of back straight, plugged on.

TOUCH KICK (IRE) shaped as if still in decent heart but, not for the first time, a well-run 3m seemed to just stretch him; in touch, hit eleventh, went third home turn, faded late on.

VIVAS (FR) continues below form, though wasn't seen to best effect here and he's becoming well handicapped now; waited with, never on terms but some late headway.

WAIKIKI WAVES (FR) is better judged on previous form; dropped out, brief headway back straight, unsuited by the way the race developed.
