strong in the betting on all-weather debut, got back on the up as he broke his duck in good style; in touch, smooth headway over 3f out, produced to lead over 1f out, forged clear; will be suited by 1½m and has a useful pedigree, so should have a fair bit more to offer.

isn't progressing at present, lacking the winner's burst of speed, but there'll be easier openings for her than this; slowly into stride, mid-field, smooth headway from 3f out, took second 1f out, left behind by winner soon after, not persevered with once held.

in a first-time hood for all-weather debut after a further 7 weeks off, showed improved form despite not being seen to best effect; missed the break, dropped out, took strong hold, forced to switch 3f out, effort over 2f out, stayed on well, left with too much to do; there's the potential for him to rate a fair bit higher under the right circumstances, particularly when getting a good gallop to chase, his opening handicap mark of 79 fair on this evidence.

A potentially informative novice, the front 3 in the market all representing strong form lines, so it was impressive to see Alignak put things to bed so readily, for all that the third would have benefited from a more positive ride in a race that was run at only an ordinary tempo.

ALIGNAK strong in the betting on all-weather debut, got back on the up as he broke his duck in good style; in touch, smooth headway over 3f out, produced to lead over 1f out, forged clear; will be suited by 1½m and has a useful pedigree, so should have a fair bit more to offer.

NOBLE MUSIC (GER) isn't progressing at present, lacking the winner's burst of speed, but there'll be easier openings for her than this; slowly into stride, mid-field, smooth headway from 3f out, took second 1f out, left behind by winner soon after, not persevered with once held.

OMNIVEGA (FR) in a first-time hood for all-weather debut after a further 7 weeks off, showed improved form despite not being seen to best effect; missed the break, dropped out, took strong hold, forced to switch 3f out, effort over 2f out, stayed on well, left with too much to do; there's the potential for him to rate a fair bit higher under the right circumstances, particularly when getting a good gallop to chase, his opening handicap mark of 79 fair on this evidence.

PASSING CLOUDS back on all-weather, failed to back up dubious latest effort, and was probably flattered again, well positioned as he was; made running, effort over 3f out, faded over 2f out, weakened over 1f out.

MASTER OF THE MOON probably needed the run after 13 months off, this drop in trip not ideal given how he was shaping last season; mid-field, ridden under 3f out, plugged on.

MANTOVANI (FR) who'd disappointed over hurdles when last seen, shaped as if better for the run after 9 months off having had a breathing operation since last seen; tracked pace, pushed along over 4f out, ran green over 2f out, faded, not persevered with once held.

SEA IT MY WAY (IRE) failed to repeat last effort but is now qualified for handicaps; mid-field, effort under 3f out, faded under 2f out.

QUE QUIERES (USA) upped in trip, fared no better after 10 months off and doesn't have a great deal to build on heading into handicaps; held up, ridden 4f out, never involved.

PRIME APPROACH (IRE) making all-weather debut, offered little after 3 months off; slowly into stride, raced off the pace, pushed along 4f out, beaten over 2f out.

RUBY WINE making all-weather debut, ran even worse; raced wide, mid-field, dropped away from 4f out.
