given much more of a break, got back on the up for a fourth win of the year, and although he'd have struggled to hold off the runner-up off a stronger gallop, he invariably gives his running and will win more races this winter if kept on the go; chased leader, edged ahead under 2f out, drew clear briefly inside final 1f, closed down late on, always holding on, well positioned.

whose Nottingham win is starting to work out better than could have been expected at the time, was easy to back tackling 2f longer trip and ran at least as well as then, the particularly sedate gallop for a staying race around here against him, doing well to get so close and he'll remain very much of interest; patiently ridden, headway over 2f out, edged left over 1f out, finished with a flourish but never getting to much-better-positioned winner; only 6 runs into his career and a bit rough round the edges still, he'll do better again.

continues in good heart, doing pretty well considering the gallop was nowhere near as strong this time; awkward leaving stalls, held up, effort over 2f out, not clear run over 1f out, stayed on final 1f, took third late on.

strong in the betting, without the headgear this time, found the longer trip negated by a sedate gallop, lacking a turn of foot in the finish; mid-field, effort over 2f out, edged left entering final 1f, kept on.

back on all-weather after 7 weeks off, wasted no time getting back to form, though had the run of the race and is probably no more than averagely treated now; made running, tackled under 3f out, headed under 2f out, kept on but lost several places close home.

is best not judged on this run in isolation but he's a risky betting proposition; slowly into stride (may have been put off by the stall next to him being forced open), in rear, effort on inner early in straight, no extra final 1f, left poorly placed.

Non Runners: DIVIN BERE (FR), ENCRYPTION (IRE).

Winning Owner: One Day Rodney Partnership

Time: 3m 29.91s Closing Sectional: (3.00f): 36.00s (109.4%)

A race heavily influenced by tactics, the winner always perfectly positioned to strike off the modest gallop, the runner-up coming from last turning for home, most of those outside of the placed horses out of form or just averagely treated.

SEINESATIONAL given much more of a break, got back on the up for a fourth win of the year, and although he'd have struggled to hold off the runner-up off a stronger gallop, he invariably gives his running and will win more races this winter if kept on the go; chased leader, edged ahead under 2f out, drew clear briefly inside final 1f, closed down late on, always holding on, well positioned.

CARNWENNAN (IRE) whose Nottingham win is starting to work out better than could have been expected at the time, was easy to back tackling 2f longer trip and ran at least as well as then, the particularly sedate gallop for a staying race around here against him, doing well to get so close and he'll remain very much of interest; patiently ridden, headway over 2f out, edged left over 1f out, finished with a flourish but never getting to much-better-positioned winner; only 6 runs into his career and a bit rough round the edges still, he'll do better again.

JUMPING CATS continues in good heart, doing pretty well considering the gallop was nowhere near as strong this time; awkward leaving stalls, held up, effort over 2f out, not clear run over 1f out, stayed on final 1f, took third late on.

SPECIAL MISSION strong in the betting, without the headgear this time, found the longer trip negated by a sedate gallop, lacking a turn of foot in the finish; mid-field, effort over 2f out, edged left entering final 1f, kept on.

DAZZLING ROCK (IRE) back on all-weather after 7 weeks off, wasted no time getting back to form, though had the run of the race and is probably no more than averagely treated now; made running, tackled under 3f out, headed under 2f out, kept on but lost several places close home.

SUFI ran respectably but was better placed than most; chased leaders, threatened briefly under 2f out, not quicken.

GAVLAR already back down to last winning mark, is best not judged on this run, left poorly placed without the headgear this time; soon steadied, brief headway under 2f out, not quicken soon after.

CONTINUUM is best not judged on this run in isolation but he's a risky betting proposition; slowly into stride (may have been put off by the stall next to him being forced open), in rear, effort on inner early in straight, no extra final 1f, left poorly placed.

KING CALYPSO back on all-weather after 10 weeks off, continues to underachieve; forced stall open fractionally early, raced in touch until left behind straight, not persevered with once held.
