fairly useful and a prolific winner over timber, looked an even better chasing prospect at the first attempt after 6 months off, resisting the attentions of a runner-up with similar hurdling form despite his sole jumping lapse having been a bad one; made all, went with zest and jumped well only to stand off too far and hit 4 out, threatened 2 out, stumbled on landing last, always holding on; he's sure to progress and win more races, the type to do well in handicaps sooner rather than later this late-spring/summer.

useful over hurdles, produced an encouraging first effort in this sphere after 6 months off, time likely to show he had no easy task up against a fellow promising chasing debutant; chased leader, shaken up home turn, effort from 3 out, threatened between last 2, held final 100 yds; open to improvement, he's a banker for a similar race.

sent chasing after 6 weeks off, faced a stiff task judged on hurdles form and was put in his place as the pace lifted; in touch, jumped better as race wore on, pushed along after 4 out, left behind straight; should do better in calmer waters.
