came right back to his best on just second start for new yard, taking advantage of a 1 lb lower mark than for last success, sharper for recent run but also aided by the step back up to 6f; held up, cut through field from the rear before quickening to lead 1f out, held on; impressed with his turn of foot and unlikely to go up much for this, so should continue to give a good account.
held up, headway straight, weaved through, led 1f out, always holding on

brought some strong form to the table, 3 next-time-out winners having already emerged from the race he won over C&D last month, and went a long way to confirming that improvement; mid-field, headway under pressure 2f out, unable to match winner's turn of foot 1f out but finished well, passing the post with running left; did enough to suggest he's still ahead of his mark and is worth another chance to prove the point.
mid-division, ridden and headway 2f out, stayed on well

ran right up to her best after 3 months off; dropped out, travelled well, headway around 1f out (followed winner through), kept on, never nearer; suited by the way things developed though, and has never won off a mark in the 80s, so hardly appeals as a winner in waiting.

turned in a slightly disappointing effort back at 6f, not matching the form he showed when winning at Chelmsford, a race that's worked out well, and having no obvious excuses; close up, shaken up around 2f out, led narrowly/briefly 1f out, soon headed and no extra.

faced a stiff task under a 6 lb penalty for dead-heating here 5 days ago, especially as the drop in trip wasn't in his favour, and ran as well as could be expected; held up, driven under 2f out, late headway, never landed a blow.

A sprint handicap that looks solid form, the winner taking advantage of a reduced mark and the runner-up thriving, whilst a couple further back are worth another chance for all that they didn't fire on the day; the gallop was fair.

SEARCHLIGHT came right back to his best on just second start for new yard, taking advantage of a 1 lb lower mark than for last success, sharper for recent run but also aided by the step back up to 6f; held up, cut through field from the rear before quickening to lead 1f out, held on; impressed with his turn of foot and unlikely to go up much for this, so should continue to give a good account.
