back on polytrack and claimer ridden for the first time this season, put it all together to capitalise on a much-reduced mark; took strong hold, ridden more prominently than on last couple of starts, effort 2f out, led final strides; has never been the most frequent of winners, but will possess ample handicapping scope to follow up.

after 7 weeks off, ran a fine race in defeat, narrowly failing to maintain his unbeaten all-weather record, his exploits on synthetic surfaces currently a notch above those achieved on turf, nailed close home by one who had fallen considerably in the weights; handy, led over 1f out, headed final strides.

appeared worth a try at this trip (free-going sort) and did attract support, but in a well-run affair he looked to find it a bit of a shock to the system after 5 months off, not out of the question he could prove as effective over it another day; steadied start and in rear, driven 2f out, never landed a blow; was fitted with a first-time tongue strap, incidentally.

Solid form for the grade, the well-handicapped Seeking Magic getting up in the shadows of the post to shade a tight finish, inflicting a first all-weather defeat on the runner-up in the process, the third and fourth both producing something akin to their best.

SEEKING MAGIC back on polytrack and claimer ridden for the first time this season, put it all together to capitalise on a much-reduced mark; took strong hold, ridden more prominently than on last couple of starts, effort 2f out, led final strides; has never been the most frequent of winners, but will possess ample handicapping scope to follow up.
