fit from Flat, added to an excellent record in this sphere, making it 6 wins from just 12 starts, probably not having to improve a whole lot more on this occasion; prominent, took strong hold, ridden after 3 out, stayed on to lead last, asserted quickly; this wasn't a competitive race for the level and he'll be vulnerable up in the weights next time.

claimer ridden, continues in good heart, arguably sent for home too soon on this occasion and run down late as a result; mid-field, led before 3 out, clear home turn, closed down after 2 out, headed last, no extra run-in.

looked a smart one in the making when winning on stable debut in April and is better judged on that run for the time being, not getting a smooth run making his reappearance after 7 months off; waited with, took closer order before 3 out, bumped there, ridden soon after, one paced; remains with potential.

in first-time cheekpieces, ran poorly on the Flat last time and fared little better having first start over hurdles this season after just 7 days off; held up, awkward first, took closer order before 3 out, driven after, not quicken.

fit from Flat, turned in a most uncharacteristic effort, seeming to completely lack enthusiasm; mid-field, labouring badly after 4 out, lost place before next, beaten 3 out.

All 6 ran. Hurdles: 8. Race Distance Adjustment: +38 yds

Winning Owner: Mr J. P. Carrington

Time: 3m 45.4s Closing Sectional: (4.10f): 59.00s (99.3%)

A disappointing turnout for this quite valuable handicap, especially with the exciting Call Me Lord failing to meet expectations, a seemingly exposed one ending up the clear-cut winner.
