A fairly useful handicap in its own right for all it didn't prove quite so competitive as seemed likely on paper; the pace was reasonable enough, though those from off the pace struggled to get involved.

IMRAHOR confirmed promise of reappearance at the second attempt, allowed the run of things but always going best and clearly ahead of his mark; soon led, went with zest, shaken up under 2f out, hung right, always holding on.

ALEXANDER JAMES (IRE) is interesting from this mark, and turned in easily his best effort of the season, one to keep an eye on over the winter (winner at Southwell on debut); dwelt, chased leaders, travelled well, ridden 2f out, edged right final 1f, no impression on winner.

TESTON (FR) ran to a similar level to last time, and is one to keep any eye on over the winter having enjoyed success on the all-weather in France (also ran well on sole outing at Southwell); prominent, ridden when hung left from 2f out, weakened gradually.

JUMP THE GUN (IRE) seems to be merely going through the motions at present, and has possibly had enough for the year; slowly into stride, mid-division, brief headway 2f out, weakened final 1f.

TWISTED REALITY back down in trip, hasn't gone on from reappearance, though she did shape better than the result here in fairness; waited with, headway over 2f out, ridden when edged left over 1f out, held when rider dropped whip inside final 1f, not sustain effort.

BOWLAND PARK back down in trip, shaped better than the distance beaten suggests, and is most likely in better heart than his recent form figures suggest; chased leaders, weakened over 1f out.

URBAN VIOLET can have a line put through this run, her luck rarely in this season following her winning return; held up, effort when not clear run over 2f out, never landed a blow.

UZINCSO after 5 months off, is yet to get anywhere near his all-weather form on turf; held up, made no impression.

POET'S LADY who attracted support, ran too badly to be true after 5 months off; raced wide, mid-division, weakened over 2f out.
