strong in the betting, probably didn't have to improve to win at listed level at the second attempt, though he had to really knuckle down to get his head in front on the nod, his rider picking up a 2-day ban for excessive use of the whip; patiently ridden, travelled well, effort over 2f out, upsides over 1f out, kept on well, led final strides; likely to go well again.

ran well upped in grade, just beaten on the nod, clearly at home at this level; tracked pace, travelled well, upsides straight, shaken up over 2f out, edged ahead over 1f out, kept on well, headed final strides; he'll continue to give a good account, still lightly raced and every chance he will be suited by going over further.

down in grade, again ran below his best, though there was more encouragement than on his return and he ideally needs more of a test; held up, travelled well, pushed along over 2f out, not quicken over 1f out, plugged on.

A listed event usually run at Goodwood in late-May, not normally open to 3-y-os, though none took the option to run, the first 2 a pair to be positive about, on the up, the winner adding to his very good strike rate, the runner-up taking a rise in class in his stride.

TRUESHAN (FR) strong in the betting, probably didn't have to improve to win at listed level at the second attempt, though he had to really knuckle down to get his head in front on the nod, his rider picking up a 2-day ban for excessive use of the whip; patiently ridden, travelled well, effort over 2f out, upsides over 1f out, kept on well, led final strides; likely to go well again.

GRACE AND DANGER (IRE) again failed to beat a rival, running even worse than on her return; handy, not settle fully, ridden 3f out, weakened soon after.
