has rapidly made up for lost time since returning this season and looked a very useful prospect as he followed up from last time; mid-division, jumped fluently, travelled well, in touch after 4 out, challenged next, went on before last, driven briefly, drew clear, won easily; a very lenient mark of 120 will be a thing of the past but he's open to more improvement and is one to note for handicaps this spring, while looking ahead to 2019/20, he's a smashing prospect for novice chases.

ran creditably, starting his effort from out the back and never nearer; held up, third when mistake 2 out, went second final 100 yds; he's capable of winning races in this sphere.

Just a small field but all 4 are capable performers and there can be no doubt that the winner is the most promising of them; the pace was on the steady side.
