back in calmer waters, and taking on his elders for the first time, and wasted no time getting back on the up, avoiding all the scrimmaging but still deserving credit for putting distance between himself and his rivals off a steady gallop; mid-field, shaken up 3f out, led under 2f out, forged clear; on a cautionary note, his profile is a bit in-and-out.

again ran well; in rear, headway under pressure under 2f out, every chance soon after, one paced, would have benefited from a stronger gallop; proving a model of consistency for new yard and will continue to give a good account, whilst it bears repeating he'll stay beyond 1m.

confirmed return to form, not seen to best effect (would have benefited from stronger gallop); handy, short of room under 3f out and only got gap entering final 1f, by which point race had developed around him, kept on; one to bear in mind.

A useful handicap, but a messy one, the gallop on the steady side and several meeting trouble in running as a result; that said, the 3-y-o winner put up a career-best effort and did it in authoritative fashion.
