was all the rage from the same mark as when rather unfortunate here 9 days earlier and, with a handy 5-lb claimer on this time, made amends in emphatic fashion, this further proof that 2m suits him better than shorter now, though a chunky rise in his mark beckons and it was a flully exposed bunch he took care of; patiently ridden, pushed along over 3f out, stayed on to lead under 2f out, went clear, ridden out.

is into the veteran stage now but showed that plenty of ability remains after 13 months off, typically going strongly through the race for a long way; dropped out, smooth headway from 3f out, took second final 1f, kept on, no match for winner.

ran poorly after 5 months off, though there's obviously a chance this was merely being used as a tune-up for a jumping return; raced off the pace, shaken up 3f out, beaten 3f out.

The market very much favoured the sole 3-y-o over a bunch of old-timers in a 0-100 that lacked any depth and it was proved spot on, East India Dock making amends for a rather unfortunate run over C&D 9 days earlier, the field coming back well strung out after The Grand Visir had set a sound gallop.

EAST INDIA DOCK was all the rage from the same mark as when rather unfortunate here 9 days earlier and, with a handy 5-lb claimer on this time, made amends in emphatic fashion, this further proof that 2m suits him better than shorter now, though a chunky rise in his mark beckons and it was a flully exposed bunch he took care of; patiently ridden, pushed along over 3f out, stayed on to lead under 2f out, went clear, ridden out.

CALLING THE WIND (IRE) is into the veteran stage now but showed that plenty of ability remains after 13 months off, typically going strongly through the race for a long way; dropped out, smooth headway from 3f out, took second final 1f, kept on, no match for winner.

DIAMOND BAY ran better than for a while from a slipping mark; chased leader, went on over 2f out, headed under 2f out, left behind by winner, one paced.

BEAMISH (FR) found himself in another 0-100 and probably ran to a similar level of form as at Ascot despite being beaten by much further; chased leaders, every chance 2f out, no extra.

MASTER MILLINER (IRE) is best over extreme distances these days and found it tough going dropped in trip from a 6 lb higher mark; mid-field, pushed along before straight, left behind from 2f out.

THE GRAND VISIR again failed by a long chalk to reproduce his Shergar Cup form (from the same mark), easy to oppose him for a long time now; made running, went clear before halfway, headed over 2f out, dropped away quickly, eased.

BEN LILLY (IRE) after 8 months off, went with no promise on his first Flat start for 3 yrs; mid-field, shaken up 4f out, beaten over 2f out.

AGGAGIO (FR) ran poorly after 5 months off, though there's obviously a chance this was merely being used as a tune-up for a jumping return; raced off the pace, shaken up 3f out, beaten 3f out.
