improved again to complete the 4-timer, really impressing with how she made her move into contention then digging deep to see off another battle-hardened rival; dwelt, mid-field, smooth headway 2f out, challenged 1f out, stayed on to assert final 100 yds; should continue to progress and looks well worth a try at a higher grade, either this backend or next year (has the size to train on at 3 yrs).

has enjoyed a most productive spell in nurseries of late, winning 3 and second in a hot race at York, and took another step forward here, only beaten by another who arrived on a roll; made running, pushed along over 2f out, tackled approaching final 1f, edged left soon after, battled well but seen off final 100 yds, pulled clear of remainder; a likeable front runner, she should continue to give a good account.

A valuable fillies' event that saw a couple who have come through the nursery route dominate, their extra experience probably a help in these conditions, both showing good attitudes as they drew clear, posting borderline-useful efforts in the process.

CHIC COLOMBINE (FR) improved again to complete the 4-timer, really impressing with how she made her move into contention then digging deep to see off another battle-hardened rival; dwelt, mid-field, smooth headway 2f out, challenged 1f out, stayed on to assert final 100 yds; should continue to progress and looks well worth a try at a higher grade, either this backend or next year (has the size to train on at 3 yrs).

LEXINGTON BELLE (IRE) has enjoyed a most productive spell in nurseries of late, winning 3 and second in a hot race at York, and took another step forward here, only beaten by another who arrived on a roll; made running, pushed along over 2f out, tackled approaching final 1f, edged left soon after, battled well but seen off final 100 yds, pulled clear of remainder; a likeable front runner, she should continue to give a good account.

LES BLEUS had a solid chance from a ratings perspective judged on her in-frame efforts in pattern races, but proved no match for the front pair when it came to the crunch, dipping a fair way below her previous level; waited with, headway 2f out, left behind final 1f.

LOCAL ARMS (IRE) failed to confirm the form, never mind the visual impression, of her Beverley romp, the 7-day turnaround an obvious place to start when looking for excuses; prominent, pushed along over 2f out, faded; may yet do better.

ADAAY IN DEVON arrived on a roll, having mopped up a maiden and a couple of minor events at sprint trips, but was found out in this more competitive environment, struggling before the longer trip became a factor; mid-field, shuffled back before halfway, plugged on.

LAND OF MAGIC was flying too high in this grade; prominent, hung right under 2f out, weakened final 1f.

GET JIGGY WITH IT (IRE) ran poorly without excuses (already proven on track and this sort of ground); mid-field, shaken up under 3f out, not quicken.

UNREAL CONNECTION was well held, as on her previous attempt tackling soft ground; mid-field, not handle turn very well and lost place, not recover.

CRY FICTION (IRE) after 7 weeks off, again ran poorly; stumbled start, in rear, never a threat.

ONTHEMONEYHONEY (IRE) on softer ground than previously, again ran below debut form, markedly so this time, and could do with having her sights lowered; prominent, weakened over 2f out.

MRS NELL making turf debut, was out of depth; slowly into stride, always behind.
