found further improvement to follow up her win in the Diane, plenty to like about the way she knuckled down, more to come, particularly with further still to explore, the Arc as well as the Opera options into the autumn; tracked pace, shaken up 3f out, led over 1f out, battled on well, ridden out.

took the step up in grade in her stride, showing much improved form after her unfortunate run last time, her overall profile a very positive one; handy, had to wait for gap 2f out, challenged inside final 1f, kept on, beaten close home; open to further improvement, a win at this level within her compass.

wasn't in quite the same form as previously this summer, perhaps paying for a busy spell, rather than the longer trip, no signs of shortage of stamina in the way she finished the race; waited with, shaken up 3f out, not quicken, stayed on inside final 1f, took third late on.

looks to have done well since last year and ran as well as she ever has, suited by the return to this trip, just not quite good enough as much as anything; held up, took keen hold, smooth headway 3f out, challenged after, no extra entering final 1f.

ran below the level of her previous efforts this summer, perhaps paying for her exertions late on, as she looked in good heart for most of the way and probably remains in form; led, kicked on 4f out, driven 2f out, headed over 1f out, one paced, faded close home.

wasn't disgraced, facing a stiff task, though she had little chance from the position she was in, excessive waiting tactics employed presumably with doubts about the trip; in rear, effort over 3f out, made little impression; she'll be seen to better advantage over this distance in lesser company and under a more positive ride.

wasn't at her best in her bid to repeat last year's victory, not getting cover early on compromising her chance, in contrast to 2019, when everything went her way; handy, not settle fully, challenged over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, eased.

All 7 ran. Race Distance Adjustment: +6 yds

Winning Owner: Mr M. Tabor, D. Smith & Mrs John Magnier

Three of the 5 older fillies had won at this level before, including last year's winner Deirdre, but none of them ran to their best and instead the pair of unexposed 3-y-os fought out the finish, re-establishing their age group's dominance in the race, the winner gaining a second victory at this level and producing a performance well up to standard for the race.

FANCY BLUE (IRE) found further improvement to follow up her win in the Diane, plenty to like about the way she knuckled down, more to come, particularly with further still to explore, the Arc as well as the Opera options into the autumn; tracked pace, shaken up 3f out, led over 1f out, battled on well, ridden out.
