upped in trip in first-time tongue strap after 8 weeks off, boasts some pretty strong 3-y-o form at this level and didn't need to improve to get off the mark for the year, the longer trip negated by a steady pace and having to work harder to get past the front-runner than might have been expected; chased leader, ridden 2f out, led entering last ½f, kept up to work; there's more to come at this trip granted a stronger gallop.

whose last run is easily excused, was strong in the market and ran well trying listed company for the first time, admittedly seen to maximum effect but making the winner work pretty hard to get by; soon led at steady gallop, travelled best, headed entering last ½f, kept on.

fared better than of late and wasn't seen to best effect on account of the steady gallop, not looking totally at home on the track either (won her maiden here but on the sprint course); mid-field, shaken up under 3f out, challenged briefly 1f out, edged right, kept on.

is a dual Goodwood winner, both at this level, but couldn't keep straight this time, lugging into the far rail throughout the latter stages, a gap probably there had he been able to take it; in touch, hung right from 2f out, not quicken.

without the headgear this time having had a breathing operation in the 4 months since last seen, seemingly ran well on form though was never involved and would likely have been beaten further in a truly-run race; held up, effort over 2f out, one paced.

chancing her arm at listed level after 13 weeks off, was never in the right position and best not judged on this; missed the break, in rear, not quicken 2f out, made no impression (eased last ½f).
