ran his race once more, a bit unfortunate to again come up against an even better-handicapped one, wisely ridden to make best use of his strong-galloping style; made running, kicked on early in straight, worn down inside final 1f, stayed on; he's a tough, useful stayer and looks well equipped to cope with more testing conditions this autumn.

ran better than 8 lb out of the handicap but that doesn't mean he's necessarily of interest next time, especially as he again blew the start; very slowly away, raced off the pace, never dangerous.

CAYIRLI (FR) wasn't that far below his best after 10 weeks off but was never really in the race with a winning chance; held up, shaken up under 4f out, never dangerous.
