has the option of Royal Ascot (King Edward VII) if connections think he's ready, his rating not up to that level for now but his profile saying more, along with the late sweep (out wide) that saw him overwhelm some useful rivals, having been last but one when the dash began; to get to his level in just 2 races is impressive, very much in the fast lane of improvement, and another furlong will do him good.
held up, switched over 1f out, effort wide, stayed on to lead final 50 yds

had his chance maximised by the ride, acting sooner than many, but the improvement was his doing, some limits put in place at the same time, grinding away rather than anything flashier, no resisting the winner's late surge, edging the bunch for second.
mid-field, tracked pace halfway, every chance over 1f out, stuck to task

no further advance, but he'd already made a big leap at Newmarket, and he has time and scope yet to put some more on top, maybe in races which greater test stamina, going well but no hanging about from his rider, challenging 2f out, Highbrow short of some finishing speed and/or a cutting edge, still a positive run on the whole in the wider context.

rushed at the leaders 1f out, all the more commendable in his case, not only held up but taking a while to settle, and the feeling remains that there are bigger days ahead with him, stronger-run races bound to show him off that much more.

different proposition from his reappearance (much further behind Highbrow then), but he's looking more a handicapper than anything better, dictating the pace getting him so far here, joined 2f out but not put away until the last 100 yds.

Only 3l between 6 of the 7 at the line, partly to do with the modest gallop, obviously putting a cap on the form, but it's still easy to be broadly positive about this collection of colts, given the trajectories of most involved.

ASPETAR (FR) has the option of Royal Ascot (King Edward VII) if connections think he's ready, his rating not up to that level for now but his profile saying more, along with the late sweep (out wide) that saw him overwhelm some useful rivals, having been last but one when the dash began; to get to his level in just 2 races is impressive, very much in the fast lane of improvement, and another furlong will do him good.

BOMBYX rushed at the leaders 1f out, all the more commendable in his case, not only held up but taking a while to settle, and the feeling remains that there are bigger days ahead with him, stronger-run races bound to show him off that much more.

BILLY RAY flying too high in this company, his proximity at the line misleading, owing to the falsely-run race, the intention to pick up any pieces from last, flattered by the form.
