refitted with cheekpieces, had been off for 11 weeks since one of his stints in the US and made the most of a good opportunity in a race that he'd also won comfortably 12 months ago, enhancing his excellent record at Goodwood (now a 4-time C&D winner); waited with, travelled smoothly, progress out wide 2f out, quickened to lead inside final 1f, soon clear; he could reportedly head abroad again for the Canadian International before another all-weather campaign on these shores in the new year.

isn't quite the same horse that he was in 2013 but confirmed that he's back in form after a disappointing first half of the year, still capable of running to a smart level; in touch, ridden over 2f out, stuck to task but was no match for the winner.

was back down in trip after not seeing things out thoroughly last time, at the same track as for her listed win in the spring, and ran up to her best behind a couple of older ones who are established pattern performers; prominent, took keen hold, edged ahead briefly 1f out, no extra last ½f; remains lightly raced and returning to softer ground could trigger improvement.

A fair gallop made for a solid result that can be taken at face value, Grandeur unsurprisingly just too good for the opposition.

GRANDEUR (IRE) refitted with cheekpieces, had been off for 11 weeks since one of his stints in the US and made the most of a good opportunity in a race that he'd also won comfortably 12 months ago, enhancing his excellent record at Goodwood (now a 4-time C&D winner); waited with, travelled smoothly, progress out wide 2f out, quickened to lead inside final 1f, soon clear; he could reportedly head abroad again for the Canadian International before another all-weather campaign on these shores in the new year.

DANADANA (IRE) isn't quite the same horse that he was in 2013 but confirmed that he's back in form after a disappointing first half of the year, still capable of running to a smart level; in touch, ridden over 2f out, stuck to task but was no match for the winner.
