resumed winning ways in decisive fashion after 11 months off, proving better than ever in the process, his confirmed stamina standing him in good stead after he had been afforded the run of the race at the head of affairs; made all, not always fluent, kicked on entering straight, in control when last, forged clear; a consistent sort, his future prospects are likely to depend on the handicapper.

upped in trip, goes well here and returned to form after 6 months off, leaving the impression he might have given the winner more to think about under different circumstances, not ideally placed the way things went and conceding first run as a result, the effort it took to get competitive from his unpromising position turning in telling on the run to the line; waited with, travelled well, effort when not clear run home turn, headway between last 2, chased leader run-in, no extra final 50 yds, finished tired; sure to be of interest again at this level.

shaped similarly to last time in some respects, again leaving the impression she has a bigger performance in her locker, an untimely error and a troubled passage both contributing factors to her failing to progress on the day; waited with, travelled as well as any, hit 4 out, headway when not clear run leaving back straight, chased leaders between last 2, one paced; remains with potential to do better.

A competitive race on paper, but a somewhat unsatisfactory one in running, Drum Valley proving better than ever in making all but seen to maximum effect having been granted an easy time of things in front, his superiority over the rest, in particular the runner-up, embellished as a result.

DRUM VALLEY resumed winning ways in decisive fashion after 11 months off, proving better than ever in the process, his confirmed stamina standing him in good stead after he had been afforded the run of the race at the head of affairs; made all, not always fluent, kicked on entering straight, in control when last, forged clear; a consistent sort, his future prospects are likely to depend on the handicapper.

LAUGHTON PARK ran creditably after 5 months off having been well positioned the way things developed; chased leader, ridden from 3 out, one paced.
