proved better than ever in resuming winning ways, reunited with the claimer who's been on board for all 3 handicap wins, though surely not so well treated as such an authoritative win might suggest, barely raceable ground doing for most of his rivals; mid-division, travelled fluently, went prominent fourth, led before 2 out, kept on well, driven out; other handicaps at this level will take more winning and he'll surely be vulnerable, whether or not the handicapper does the sensible thing and takes a low view of this win.

a C&D winner on this card last season, had optimum conditions and proved at least as good as ever back from 11 weeks off, running the finish out of all bar the winner; made running, jumped well in main, kicked on 4 out, ridden next, headed when mistake 2 out, one paced; circumstances are unlikely to be always this much in his favour.

one of the least exposed, shaped as if still in good form and should benefit from this big-field handicap experience, to some extent seeming caught out by lack of know-how; in touch, shuffled back after 4 out, rallied from next, stayed on, as though 3m will be well within range; worth another chance.

Weak form for a handicap at this level, mainly due to barely raceable ground that saw those that managed to complete doing so at wide margins, most simply unable to cope; the runner-up set a sound gallop, though nothing sustained any notable headway from behind.

SILSOL (GER) proved better than ever in resuming winning ways, reunited with the claimer who's been on board for all 3 handicap wins, though surely not so well treated as such an authoritative win might suggest, barely raceable ground doing for most of his rivals; mid-division, travelled fluently, went prominent fourth, led before 2 out, kept on well, driven out; other handicaps at this level will take more winning and he'll surely be vulnerable, whether or not the handicapper does the sensible thing and takes a low view of this win.
