strong in the betting, followed up from last time, his willing attitude a major help; never far away, not fluent 5 out, challenged 3 out, led when ran a bit wide home turn, steadied into last, tackled run-in, always holding on; is likeable but things will get even tougher for him now.

who has some strong bits of form to his name, went close after 6 weeks off and may even have won had he been able to find a seam between the 2 leaders sooner; mid-division, bad mistake second, chased leaders 3 out, not clear run after next or approaching home turn, not fluent last, challenged run-in, kept on but always just held by winner; should continue in form.

wasn't disgraced but was never really competitive, the track hardly ideal for one ridden as he is; dropped out, not always fluent, pushed along 4 out, not quicken before 2 out, plugged on.

shaped better than the distance beaten suggests, only seen off turning for home; made running, jumped well in main, tackled 3 out, headed entering straight, tied up run-in.

again easy to back, wasn't beaten as far as on his return but was never competitive; mid-field, lost ground circuit out, struggling when hit 3 out.

Certainly not the deepest of 0-130s but it was a good tussle for a long way, the winner showing a fine attitude though the runner-up didn't get the clearest of runs from the second last and was possibly a shade unfortunate.

MILITARIAN strong in the betting, followed up from last time, his willing attitude a major help; never far away, not fluent 5 out, challenged 3 out, led when ran a bit wide home turn, steadied into last, tackled run-in, always holding on; is likeable but things will get even tougher for him now.
