the outsider of the Willie Mullins' trio, nonetheless improved plenty more, going one better than last time, doing especially well having been almost brought down when Arctic Warrior fell; chased leaders, badly hampered 3 out, edged ahead between last 2, tackled flat, all out to hold on.

improved further in first-time visor (over jumps); mid-field, blundered fourth, left in third 3 out, went second briefly, forced to switch left after 2 out, every chance when not fluent last, not quicken; a smart stayer on the Flat, there's better still to come from him in this sphere, especially when tackling longer trips.

A Grade 2 novice that is normally held at the 3-day Easter Weekend meeting, and this year lacked any that competed at Cheltenham; it produced an exciting finish, 3 in the hunt jumping the last.

BRONN (IRE) the outsider of the Willie Mullins' trio, nonetheless improved plenty more, going one better than last time, doing especially well having been almost brought down when Arctic Warrior fell; chased leaders, badly hampered 3 out, edged ahead between last 2, tackled flat, all out to hold on.

CHURCHSTONEWARRIOR (IRE) proved at least as good as ever after 10 weeks off, and remains a smashing chasing prospect; pressed leader, left in front 3 out, ridden when jumped right next, headed before last, rallied.

FALCON EIGHT (IRE) improved further in first-time visor (over jumps); mid-field, blundered fourth, left in third 3 out, went second briefly, forced to switch left after 2 out, every chance when not fluent last, not quicken; a smart stayer on the Flat, there's better still to come from him in this sphere, especially when tackling longer trips.

ASH TREE MEADOW (FR) didn't really feature after 8 weeks off; held up, hit second, left in fourth 3 out, held when hit next.

BERKSHIRE ROYAL wasn't in the same form as last time; mid-division, took keen hold, dropped away before 3 out, eased off.

RED AS RUST (IRE) needs her sights lowering; in rear, not fluent first, struggling soon after 4 out.

ARCTIC WARRIOR (GER) very much on his toes beforehand, raced freely at the head of affairs and was still in front when falling heavily 3 out, sadly suffering a fatal injury.
