A valuable race saved from Bangor the previous week and, despite those at the top of the betting disappointing for one reason or another, the winner's performance still needs viewing positively.

ARCLIGHT has taken to chasing much better than might have been expected and followed up from Kempton with another dominant display, making full use of her age allowance up in grade but still worth crediting with plenty of improvement all the same; pressed leader, went with enthusiasm, led approaching 4 out, clear when mistake 2 out, closed down briefly run-in, ridden out; open to further progress.

MAYHEM MYA settled better than usual and left her chasing debut form well behind after 7 months off; held up, progress 4 out, shaken up before next, threatened briefly run-in, kept on.

CAROLE'S PASS (FR) without headgear this time, matched her fairly useful hurdles form on her first attempt over fences after 6 months off and is entitled to do better with this under her belt, worth noting she's yet to tackle 2½m and gives the impression that trip will suit; mid-field, not fluent fifth, shaken up before 4 out, kept on gradually.

GALICE MACALO (FR) back under a fully-fledged rider, failed to build on the promise of her last run returned to a shorter trip; forced pace, typically raced freely, slow seventh, headed approaching 4 out, faded.

ENDLESS ESCAPE (IRE) had a productive first stint over hurdles (won 4 of her 5 starts) and took well enough to chasing returning tried tongue tied following a breathing operation, the lack of a recent run perhaps tellling for all she's won fresh before; mid-field, jumped adequately, took closer order home turn, ridden soon after 4 out, weakened before last.

INSPIRATRICE (IRE) faced a stiff task in this grade; raced off the pace, shaken up entering straight, not fluent 4 out, never involved, albeit not knocked about; she didn't shape at all badly on her chasing debut and is certainly not one to write off back at a realistic level.

NURSE SUSAN (FR) had created a good impression when winning 2 of her 4 starts over hurdles in 2021-22, but she'd missed the whole of the following season through injury and, despite being fairly strong in the betting, understandably shaped as if better for the run sent chasing after 20 months off; raced wide, in touch, took keen hold, lost place 5 out, shaken up entering straight, held from 4 out, not knocked about; should do much better as a chaser.

LAW ELLA (IRE) wasn't in the same form as last time, more to it than the drop in trip; in rear, not always fluent, left behind 4 out.

LADY ADARE (IRE) had a standout chance on form but proved a let-down, every chance the race came too soon after just 9 days off given her apparent fragility over the years; chased leaders, not always fluent, folded quickly 3 out.
