resumed progress after 11 weeks off, value extra in fact, looking a class apart for a long way; waited with, travelled powerfully, headway on bridle early in straight, led on bridle 2 out, idled, merely kept up to work and had bit in hand; he's unlikely to go up too much for this considering the distance back to the second and third and is sure to go well again next time, these big-field, well-run races seemingly suiting him best.

looked more straightforward this time, needing every yard of the 4f longer trip to finish as close as he did, catching the eye in the process; in rear, mistake fourth, ridden home turn, still plenty to do after untidy again 3 out, found plenty, never nearer; unexposed at staying trips and should go well again.
