without the headgear this time, showed the benefit of recent run to get off the mark for the season, this easily her best effort this term and at least on a par with the pick of her previous form; waited with, went with zest, smooth headway from home turn, produced to lead over 2f out, went clear soon after, won easily; she'll presumably be aimed at Ascot again next.

ran creditably up further in trip taking on his elders for the first time, just not quite in the same form as when third in the Leger; mid-field, went prominent soon after halfway, ridden entering straight, no match for winner.

returned to form in first-time visor, running about as well as could be expected at this level up further in trip; mid-field, took keen hold, headway approaching straight, shaken up over 3f out, not quicken.

wasn't disgraced after 4 months off, entitled to be sharper for this next time, certainly worth another chance to get closer to her Sandown form, for all that is very much a standout effort; made running, headed over 2f out, one paced.

would have just about run respectably had he completed, held in a fairly remote fifth when slipping up before the line; tracked pace, every chance 3f out, held when stumbled and came down near line.
