back down in grade after a creditable run in the St Leger 15 days ago, found this company much more palatable, maybe even improving a little for his first crack at 2m, for all that this wasn't a stiff test at the trip; raced along inside, held up, headway 3f out, switched 2f out, disputed over 1f out, edged ahead inside final 1f, kept on.

ran well upped in grade, coping more than adequately with the 4f longer trip in this sphere, unsurprising for one that's got winning hurdles form over 2½m; held up, switched early in straight, headway over 2f out, stayed on inside final 1f.

ran creditably upped to the longest trip she's faced, the combination of a modest pace and settling better than last time enabling her to see it out effectively; raced along inside, in rear, headway over 2f out, short of room soon after, plugged on final 1f.

last year's winner, could only run to the same sort of level she'd hit on her first 2 starts this year, the first-time visor not able to eke out that bit extra, for all that she travelled more kindly than last time; chased leaders, ridden, disputed over 1f out, no extra well inside final 1f.

upped to the longest trip she's faced, ran well on form, though this was a story more about late gains than anything else, looking like being readily left behind at one point before staging a bit of a rally; mid-field, ridden 3f out, merely closed up late.

An up-to-scratch renewal of this Group 3 contest for stayers, the winner making the most of a return to calmer waters having contested the St Leger at Doncaster last time; it wasn’t too much of test at the trip, the early pace only modest.

DAWN PATROL (IRE) back down in grade after a creditable run in the St Leger 15 days ago, found this company much more palatable, maybe even improving a little for his first crack at 2m, for all that this wasn't a stiff test at the trip; raced along inside, held up, headway 3f out, switched 2f out, disputed over 1f out, edged ahead inside final 1f, kept on.
