relished the step up to a marathon distance as he got right back on track after 7 weeks off; waited with, headway sixteenth, in touch 5 out, jumped on last, stayed on well; he looks the type to aim at regional Nationals next season.

not only put his Wincanton flop firmly behind him just 3 days on, but proved better than ever over this 4f longer trip with a claimer in the saddle; in touch, not fluent seventh, again twelfth, went prominent fourteenth, led entering straight, tackled 2 out, headed last, pulled clear of rest; he apparently showed signs of post-race ataxia.

just out of the handicap, ran well for a long way away from the mud; in rear, crept closer thirteenth, good progress sixteenth, second crossing 2 out, no extra from there; he hit from this time last year from higher marks and, for all he's not straightforward, could pop up in the coming weeks.

was dropping appreicably in grade but isn't one to be backing at a shortish price given his jumping issues, also said to have suffered with an irregular heartbeat; close up, jumped awkwardly at times, led seventh, headed entering straight, dropped away quickly.
