progressed again to preserve his unbeaten record under Rules, suited by the longer trip, but will surely come up short at this level in the future, undoubtedly winning a weak race for the grade here; disputed lead, went on after 2 out, headed approaching last, led again close home, battled well.

who's being kept busy and was one of the most exposed in this field, nonetheless bounced back to his best after just 7 days off; held up, travelled as well as any, quickened to lead before last, jumped right there, worried out of it.

in first-time hood after 8 months off, stood out on form but failed to meet expectations, albeit better than the bare result in a muddling contest; tracked pace, upsides from 4 out, headed when jumped right 2 out, third and looking held when bad mistake last, not recover; still winless over hurdles, but highly tried and with a bit of useful novice form to his name last season, he's by no means one to write off, especially as he's got the physique to make a better chaser.

The decision to bring this race forward from its usual slot at the end of the month backfired spectacularly, the turnout far from befitting of a Grade 2 novice, the disappointing showing of the favourite compounding matters, and it's likely the pair that fought out the finish ran to just a fairly useful level; the pace was steady.

ROADIE JOE (IRE) progressed again to preserve his unbeaten record under Rules, suited by the longer trip, but will surely come up short at this level in the future, undoubtedly winning a weak race for the grade here; disputed lead, went on after 2 out, headed approaching last, led again close home, battled well.
