An eventful second qualifier for the Timeform Sprint Series, both at the start - with Startling losing all chance when standing still after barging her way out of the stalls - and at the finish, with the minimum distance separating Level Up and Cabeza de Llave, the former proving most willing to make all having soon had plenty out of their comfort zone. LEVEL UP (IRE) was in a change of headgear, but perhaps crucially had Neil Callan replacing a 7-lb claimer, and bounced right back to the form he showed to defy a similar mark back on turf in the summer, proving willing; led, pushed along home turn, joined final 100 yds, kept on, just held on.
