A pair of recent C&D winners shared top prize in this low-grade handicap, the pair of them coming from off the pace in a steadily-run affair with the topweight in particular worth extra credit having raced in last for much of the way.

BIT HARSH (IRE) successful over C&D when last seen, had the cheekpieces retained and showed improved form on the back of a similar break (5 weeks) but had to settle for a share of the prize this time; mid-division, pushed along over 2f out, headway over 1f out, stayed on to lead well inside final 1f, joined line.

THE BAY WARRIOR (IRE) ran to a similar level as when runner-up here on his return, essentially having every chance; prominent, raced freely, led 1f out, headed well inside final 1f, no extra.

RICHARD R H B (IRE) ran just respectably once more, having no excuses the way the race developed; led, raced freely, headed 1f out, no extra final 100 yds.

MAFIA POWER unpenalised for win 2 days earlier, has stood his racing well since joining this yard but underperformed here, acknowledging he didn't get the best of runs; held up, headway when short of room over 1f out, forced to switch again inside final 1f, never landed a blow.
