making all-weather debut, after 6 months off, produced a much-improved effort, this sort of step forward easily explained by bits and pieces of his 2-y-o form (pushed a decidedly useful type close on penultimate start) as well as his physique, very much the type to take off this year; prominent main group, pushed along entering straight, led over 1f out, kept on well; will go on improving and will be worth his place in a higher grade next time.

without the hood this time, showed the benefit of recent run, getting back to the pick of his 2-y-o form and opening up more options regarding trip; waited with, raced freely, headway 2f out, edged left 1f out, kept on, conceded first run.

ran well; prominent, tanked along, upsides after 3f, led 2f out, headed over 1f out, no extra final 1f; his main asset seems to be a high cruising speed and this will be as far as he wants, whilst he'd be an interesting one to try and convert into a sprinter.

without the hood this time, wasn't in the same form as when edging out Harrow at Kempton; slowly into stride, waited with, raced freely, headway under pressure out wide home turn, weakened straight; will presumably have the headgear back on next time and is worth another chance.

All 6 ran.

Winning Owner: Mrs Angie Bailey

Time: 1m 37.99s Closing Sectional: (3f): 37.6s (97.7%)

Overrounds: Industry SP 113%, Betfair SP 97.2%

A minor event that was won in ready fashion by a smart prospect, who improved past one who already has form at pattern level; a few of these raced freely but the gallop seemed fair.

DARK MOON RISING (IRE) making all-weather debut, after 6 months off, produced a much-improved effort, this sort of step forward easily explained by bits and pieces of his 2-y-o form (pushed a decidedly useful type close on penultimate start) as well as his physique, very much the type to take off this year; prominent main group, pushed along entering straight, led over 1f out, kept on well; will go on improving and will be worth his place in a higher grade next time.

HARROW (IRE) without the hood this time, showed the benefit of recent run, getting back to the pick of his 2-y-o form and opening up more options regarding trip; waited with, raced freely, headway 2f out, edged left 1f out, kept on, conceded first run.

FIND ran well; prominent, tanked along, upsides after 3f, led 2f out, headed over 1f out, no extra final 1f; his main asset seems to be a high cruising speed and this will be as far as he wants, whilst he'd be an interesting one to try and convert into a sprinter.

BLUE TRAIL (IRE) without the hood this time, wasn't in the same form as when edging out Harrow at Kempton; slowly into stride, waited with, raced freely, headway under pressure out wide home turn, weakened straight; will presumably have the headgear back on next time and is worth another chance.

ATHEBY without the headgear upped in trip, after just 5 days off, was out of depth; close up, lost place over 3f out, plodded on.

MR PROFESSOR (IRE) was too free in first-time cheekpieces; led, raced freely, headed 2f out, weakened straight.
