in a markedly stronger race than for C&D win last month, proved better than ever as he followed up in authoratitive style; disputed lead, went on over 2f out, tackled over 1f out, forged clear; looks to have turned over a new leaf since switched to all-weather and should remain of interest.

posted most encouraging effort since joining this yard, running better than for a while; chased leaders, shaken up home turn, every chance 1f out, ran on; only a couple of pounds above last winning mark and won't always bump into thriving rivals like the winner.

back up in trip after just 7 days off, confirmed promise of last run, this on a par with the form of his Chester win back in the spring; chased leaders, travelled fluently, shaken up over 1f out, every chance soon after, kept on.

well backed returned to all-weather and shaped well after 8 weeks off; dwelt, in rear, travelled fluently, going well when had to wait for gap over 1f out, kept on well final 1f, nearest at the finish; style of racing possibly isn't ideally suited to this course and he'll be one to note when back on a more speed-favouring track.

is probably just averagely weighted, but wasn't at his best in any case; mid-field, switched over 1f out, not quicken.

All 9 ran.

Winning Owner: Mr T. W. Morley

Time: 1m 23.69s Closing Sectional: (3.00f): 35.30s (101.6%)

A useful handicap that went to one currently in a rich vein of form, whilst further back the gambled-on Keyser Soze caught the eye; the gallop was no better than fair.

REEVES in a markedly stronger race than for C&D win last month, proved better than ever as he followed up in authoratitive style; disputed lead, went on over 2f out, tackled over 1f out, forged clear; looks to have turned over a new leaf since switched to all-weather and should remain of interest.

MERHOOB (IRE) back up in trip after just 7 days off, confirmed promise of last run, this on a par with the form of his Chester win back in the spring; chased leaders, travelled fluently, shaken up over 1f out, every chance soon after, kept on.
