had only manged one win in 3 seasons for Aidan O'Brien but is already a much-improved performer for this yard at the age of 6, pulverising some solid all-weather sprinters as he followed up from his stable debut having been much stronger in the betting this time; pressed leader, led on bridle 2f out, quickened clear over 1f out, impressive; connections are entitled to be looking at high-end handicaps or even something better after this, acknowledging that Cenotaph's sudden leap forward has come exclusively at this rather specialist course.

back on all-weather, ran creditably, very much bumping into one; tracked pace, pushed along 2f out, left behind by winner over 1f out, kept on, no match for winner.

reversed Newcastle form with Solar Flair on better terms but, like that rival, wasn't quite at his best, though there was some mitigation in a poor position; raced off the pace, shaken up under 2f out, kept on, took third late on.

ran slightly better than last time back on all-weather in first-time cheekpieces, but his C&D fourth in April remains a standout this season; awkward leaving stalls, mid-field, ridden under 2f out, never dangerous.

Not a deep race for the grade but there were plenty of solid sprinters left trailing in the wake of Cenotaph, this about as one-sided as handicaps at this trip get; the pace was on the steady side.

CENOTAPH (USA) had only manged one win in 3 seasons for Aidan O'Brien but is already a much-improved performer for this yard at the age of 6, pulverising some solid all-weather sprinters as he followed up from his stable debut having been much stronger in the betting this time; pressed leader, led on bridle 2f out, quickened clear over 1f out, impressive; connections are entitled to be looking at high-end handicaps or even something better after this, acknowledging that Cenotaph's sudden leap forward has come exclusively at this rather specialist course.

MAAKAASIB back on all-weather, ran creditably, very much bumping into one; tracked pace, pushed along 2f out, left behind by winner over 1f out, kept on, no match for winner.

EKHTIYAAR reversed Newcastle form with Solar Flair on better terms but, like that rival, wasn't quite at his best, though there was some mitigation in a poor position; raced off the pace, shaken up under 2f out, kept on, took third late on.

SOLAR FLAIR wasn't in the same form as when posting a career-best at Newcastle last month; led, headed 2f out, left behind by winner over 1f out.

DANZENO ran slightly better than last time back on all-weather in first-time cheekpieces, but his C&D fourth in April remains a standout this season; awkward leaving stalls, mid-field, ridden under 2f out, never dangerous.

UDONTDODOU after 6 weeks off, continues out of sorts, his stable still struggling; raced off the pace, pushed along over 2f out, plugged on.

CLEAR SPRING (IRE) again ran below form after another 3 months off; mid-field, pushed along under 3f out, soon beaten.
