is thriving now, following up from last time turned out under a penalty after just 7 days off, again doing well under the circumstances; raced off the pace, smooth headway over 1f out, stayed on to lead line; sure to go well again, one to take seriously in his hat-trick bid.

proved at least as good as ever on just his second start for this yard, initially held up but actually in a good position when the race fully developed; raced off the pace, took strong hold, close up end of back straight, produced to lead 1f out, kept on well, collared line; connections deserve plenty of credit for getting him firing so quickly after his lengthy absence, and he's one to be interested in now.

continues in good heart, not ridden quite so prominently on this occasion and likely to have benefited from a stronger gallop; raced wide, in touch, every chance early in straight, kept on; should remain competitive, though he's vulnerable to anything mildly progressive from this sort of mark.

after just 6 days off, ran to a similar level as last time, having every chance from his position, perhaps, at the age of 8, just not quite as good as he was; soon led, headed 1f out, one paced.

possibly still needed this run, at the least going with a little more encouragement this time, though not enough to think that he'll be back to his smart best any time soon; tracked pace, pushed along over 2f out, faded final 1f; next run should reveal more.

followed a good run with a below-par one, looking a bit awkward at various stages, something perhaps bothering him; close up, took strong hold and tended to hang right, ridden over 2f out, carried head bit awkwardly and weakened approaching final 1f.

A tightly-knit handicap that was run at an ordinary gallop and produced a bunched finish, Nonios again doing well to come from the back, collaring one that's been given a chance by the handicapper on the line.
