probably didn't need to improve to follow up Doncaster win but this looked a strong race and he impressed in coming from the rear at a track where it's hard to pull off waiting tactics; dropped out, still plenty to do approaching straight, stayed on to lead inside final 1f, ridden out; remains with potential and the Britannia looks an obvious next port of call, the likely strong gallop sure to suit his style of racing.

up a further 11 lb after 6 weeks off, ran creditably in an attempt to land the 4-timer, and though he doesn't look up to fulfilling his Group 1 entries, there are further races to be won from this sort of mark, beaten only by another lightly-raced one here; held up, ridden under 3f out, forced wide entering straight, kept on.
