under a penalty, followed up after 5 days off, is in top form at present and continued an excellent spell for his yard, better placed than those that were bearing down on him come the line but doing it with something in hand all the same, no suggestion that he was a fortunate winner; prominent, travelled well, led final 1f, kept on well, won readily; sure to go well again.

well backed, ran well after 12 weeks off, clearly interesting from this sort of mark and not without hope of further progress given how lightly raced he is, especially back over further, the emphasis on speed here certainly not playing to his strengths; mid-field, headway over 1f out, stayed on; will remain of interest.

without the headgear this time, ran creditably back up in trip, consistency is hard to knock but isn't the easiest to win with; held up, raced freely, headway over 1f out, switched, kept on, not ideally placed; should remain competitive.

A fairly useful handicap which looks solid form for the grade but the penalised Freud was too good on the day and readily held off those coming from further back; the pace was ordinary.

FREUD (FR) under a penalty, followed up after 5 days off, is in top form at present and continued an excellent spell for his yard, better placed than those that were bearing down on him come the line but doing it with something in hand all the same, no suggestion that he was a fortunate winner; prominent, travelled well, led final 1f, kept on well, won readily; sure to go well again.
