found the requisite improvement to defy this mark just when he was starting to look exposed, and though he enjoyed a better trip than the runner-up, he did impress with how he went through the race; reared leaving stalls, recovered to race in mid-field, travelled well, good headway 2f out, produced to lead 1f out, stayed on; yet to be out of the first 3 for this yard so will probably remain competitive.

back up in trip after just 6 days off, again shaped better than the bare result and may well have pushed the winner close granted more luck in running; mid-field, had to wait for gap on rail over 2f out and only got into the clear in the final 100 yds, finished with running left; handicapped to win when things drop right, and well worth another chance.

ran respectably by the end, but showed why she's mainly been kept to softer ground and more galloping tracks, and perhaps also why she's recently been fitted with headgear; soon detached, went with little fluency, late headway, never nearer.
