had looked to be building up to something and proved better than ever as she got off the mark for the season, her slightly awkward head carriage still there; mid-field, smooth headway on inner from 3f out, produced to lead 1f out, quickened clear, well on top finish; this ended up being a good opening for her.

showed benefit of reappearance run, though a first-time hood didn't stop him taking a grip/looking wayward under pressure; mid-field, took strong hold, headway over 2f out, hung left, every chance over 1f out, not quicken final 1f.

shaped similarly to last time, one that needs things to fall just right; slowly into stride, dropped out, steady headway over 4f out, came wide entering straight, threatened over 1f out, one paced.

shaped as if retaining ability back on the Flat after 10 months off (didn't cut much ice for this yard over hurdles last season), but this isn't robust form; mid-field, outpaced over 3f out, short of room 2f out, stayed on final 1f.

well backed, shaped better than the distance beaten suggests but was on the way backwards when getting cut up; chased leader, took strong hold, pushed along 3f out, challenged 2f out, weakening when badly hampered over 1f out, eased off; a gelding operation doesn't seem to have done much for his slightly awkward way of going and there's a chance he's a bit flattered by his Nottingham win (more experienced/prominently ridden than the 2 improvers he beat that day).

Most of these have their quirks and this certainly isn't form to be going overboard about, a steady gallop meaning 6 of the 7 had some sort of chance 2f out.

TIME CHANGE had looked to be building up to something and proved better than ever as she got off the mark for the season, her slightly awkward head carriage still there; mid-field, smooth headway on inner from 3f out, produced to lead 1f out, quickened clear, well on top finish; this ended up being a good opening for her.
